Garden of the Gods.

While we were exploring, a vintage World War Two (WWII) bomber was flying around. It was a B-17 Flying Super fortress. It is the U.S. bomber that won the war against Germany. My grandfather had a close friend who lived in Asheville named Robert Morgan. He was in the Insurance Business. During WWII, he was the pilot of a B-17 named "Memphis Belle". I interviewed him for a history class assignment in the 7th Grade. The Memphis Belle was the first bomber to complete 25 missions in the air war over Europe. When I snapped this picture, I had no idea that I had captured the plane in the frame, but your Mom new I had. She said, "You got it!" And I did.
